The Barbershopper of the Year (BOTY) award is presented, each year, to a member of the chorus, who in the opinion of the membership, has done the most to benefit the chapter during the year.

All members of the chorus are eligible to receive the award. Members cast their individual votes by secret ballot for the member who they believe deserves the award. The results are held in secret until the annual Officer Installation Banquet, at which time the previous year's recipient of the BOTY, presents the current year's award.

The list of past recipients shows dedication to the chapter as well as to barbershopping in general. Every sucessful chapter depends upon many willing and capable leaders to be members of the Board of Directors or the Music Team.

The Barbershopper of the Year does not have to be on the Board or the Music Team. There are many who serve in other capacities and their work benefits the chorus.

The BOTY is a cherished honor to those who receive it. The list to the left gives credit to those who have earned this honor.
